The girls loved it.
So this morning we got up and organised and hitched up the car only for me to notice a really noisy metallic vibration coming from underneath the car. Tim looked and lo and behold the heat shield had only detached itself from the exhaust. That's nowneeding fixed with some new bolts and large washers. So off we'll trek tomorrow to find a Kwik Fit or something.
Another long drive to Great Yarmouth saw us arriving at 3pm. Sat nav had wanted to take us over via King's Lynn from the A1 but I defied her and told Tim to go straight down the A1 to Cambridge and head for the A14 and it cut an hour off the time SAt Nav had given us.
Site seems ok but boy, is it busy. Not chaotic but busy anyway. we had a wee pop over to the entertainment complex to see what it was all about and it's mainly all aimed the younger kids up to around 9.30 ish so we left after playing prize bingo and took the kids to the swing park for a last burn of their energy. That'll ensure a lie in for us tomorrow hopefully.
So now we're in the awning, the kettle's on and the kids are all in bed.
And do you know what the best thing is? The sun has shone on us all day. we had one sharp shower around the Lake district area yesterday afternoon and nothing since then. It's been lovely today - we even got he gas BBQ plumbed in to the external gas pont and had a nice BBQ for dinner.
Well, that's all for today so hopefully more on our travels in a day or two.
Take care all!
Have a lovely day!
